Who are you?

You have a Bachelor's/Master's in Telecom engineering and at least 10 years of experience. You have good knowledge in the required technologies (GSM-R/2G, 5G, IMS, IP, Virtualization).

You have technical skills in the telecommunications or IT environment, demonstrating end-to-end knowledge in communications network technologies, particularly in all or part of the Access Network, Transmission Network, IP Core Network, or Network Management System & Provisioning aspects.

In addition, you are recognized for the following qualities:

You have a passion for your field and an interest in defining and implementing complex solutions. You have a strong capacity for analysis and an ability to summarize. Autonomous and independent, but able to work as part of a team, you have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy convincing your customers of the validity of your work. You want to be recognized for your commitment to your work. You are fluent in English and have strong knowledge of working with IT platforms. In addition, you are recognized for the following qualities: 

    • Good knowledge of the required technologies (GSM-R/2G, 5G, IMS, IP, Virtualization).
    • Good knowledge of Technical documentation.

    • Able to work independently

What we can accomplish together:

We are offering you the opportunity to join  “Service Delivery Management team”  working in  Kontron Transportation Portugal , interacting with national and international players, as a Core Engineer. As part of this team, you will be in regular contact with our customers, representing our technological know-how to them, and you will inform the technical and management teams of their specific requirements.

In this role, you will have to:

  • Work closely with the Engineering & Services (E&S) team to support the delivery, rollout, and long-term operation of the system.
  • Production of core engineering-related documentations, such as, but not limited to High Level Design documents and Low Level Design documents.

  • Reviewing and validating works completed by 3rd parties/partners

  • Ensure engineering is carried out according to customer requirements

  • Support installation, integration, and configuration activities on customer premises.

  • Participate in system acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and documentation updates.

  • Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to the E&S and project teams.

  • Assist with logistics, staging, and operational readiness preparation
  • Provide  on-site operational support (8h/5d) at customer premises.
  • Perform daily health checks, incident handling, and first-level/second-level troubleshooting.

  • Coordinate with Service Delivery and Engineering teams for escalations.

  • Participate in the 24/7 SDM on-call rotation.

  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and preventive maintenance activities.

 

This position requires regular travel in the country and sometimes abroad.
